It has been blazing hot here and I am over it. Once it gets hot for too long I’m ready to move on into hoodies and cooler weather. So, bring on all things fall and pumpkins. Here’s a quick and relaxing craft to tip toe into the season; even if it’s hot as heck outside.
I grabbed some white pumpkins for this project. You could also use orange or any other color. I also thought a black pumpkin with a white chalk pen would look amazing. Even a fabric pumpkin could be cool. I thought using Tombow pens would be best to use for this doodling project.
For inspiration and ideas, I went to Pinterest to find different types of doodles. I practiced different ones on a piece of paper. I also used this to plan out which designs I want to used on my pumpkins. The best part about this is that it doesn’t have to perfect and each pumpkin will be custom and unique to you!
This pen is the one the worked the best on the surface of the pumpkins. The ink of some of the pens didn’t want to stay on the surface, it would kind of disappear. I think you need to experiment on whatever pumpkin you have.
Black and white fall decor is my absolute favorite. It was fun to doodle a little to make some decor for fall. I’m ready for it! I thought this could be a great project for teens and tweens, as well. Perfect for any party or get together.
