Let’s put a new spin on your next Cinco De Mayo celebration. DecoArt just released their new line of Glow in the Dark paint called Glow. This paint will glow longer than any other paint on the market! Even getting your kids to help you glow up your party decor can be fun too!

DecoArt Americana Glow line of glow in the dark paint has been newly release at Michaels stores. There’s blue, orange, aqua, green, and purple; which isn’t pictured.

To make a quick and easy banner I painted regular pieces of paper with each color. 3-4 coats for maximum coverage and impact. I wanted these babies to GLOW!

Cut up as many strips needed to make your banner.

Line up your strips, even overlapping, and run a line of hot glue across the top. Lay down a string. After I gave my strips a little haircut to make them all uneven. Totally not necessary, but I wanted that fringe look.

It’s recommended to apply this paint to a white surface but I also wanted to try out what it would look like to enhance something that is already colored. Start by painting these paper mâché cacti from Hobby Lobby.

I selected matching colors to go on top of the paint.

Again, paint 3-4 coats for maximum impact.

This is the what it all looks like in natural light. It’s surprising how light the paint is in the daylight.

But with the lights off it’s bright and you can see all those colors.

It’s fun with a black light as well. Think of how fun your next celebration can be with some DecoArt Glow!

Good ideas, aqua is my favourite, worth trying it.
