When planning a party, I love coming up with a special invitation that will make the guest feel like the party has already started! It’s the first taste of the fun ahead. Here are a few of my favorite invites that I’ve made in the past.
I created each of these invites in Microsoft Publisher.
When planning our Vintage Airplane Baby Shower, I knew I wanted to have a plane ticket invite. I remember taking an actual plane ticket I had from a recent trip and trying to replicate the details into an invitation.
You can see I even had the staple which actually held gift information for the mom-to-be on the back.
This close up is to show the perforation I made with one of my favorite finds… Crayola’s Cutter!! It totally gave my tickets the authentic feel of a plane ticket.
For my son’s birthday, we had an “It’s a Small World” party for him. I love the placement of the numbers, showing that it was Quinn’s 3rd birthday.
I also used sticky foam to have the clock face raised a bit from the card.
There are three “doors” that show the invite information.
I adore the color combination on this party!! Another perk of making your own, you get to pick the exact colors you want.
Here is our invite from our Amazing Race Birthday. Our birthday girl’s guests loved receiving this invite!
Printing on high gloss photo paper made these pretty close replicas of the ones you would see on TV.
If you’ve ever caught an episode of the Amazing Race, you’d know those bright envelopes always came with a pull tab. We made our version with matching yellow masking tape. It sure did the trick!
Stay tuned as we plan to share more Invitation Inspiration with you!
