It’s time to finally reveal part one of our Airstream kitchen remodel with Sinkology!! I’ve seriously been tempted to use it while at home because who wouldn’t mind doing dishes with this gorgeous Sinkology farmhouse stainless sink!! And don’t get me started on our matte black Pfister faucet!
Blue gives the new kitchen two ears up!
A little reminder of where our kitchen started. This side of the galley kitchen needs to store the heater, the battery, electric box and water pump. That’s a lot of things to hide (and to make sure we still have access to) within a cabinet!
The jewel of our kitchen design, our Sinkology Percy sink from the FORTIFY Crafted Stainless Steel Collection. This polished finish apron front sink gives all the farmhouse vibes with a modern twist! And I love how the stainless steel kitchen sink compliments the Airstream aluminum.
After measuring the width and depth of the sink, we were able to create the cabinet face.
We then marked and cut our butcher block countertop for perfect sink placement.
To keep things fresh and to allow the sink and wood grain counters to pop, we went with a crisp white for the cabinets.
Don’t you love how the mineral oil shows off all of that wood grain goodness?!?!
With the cabinets not being able to have inner walls for stability because of the heater, we needed to brace for the sink and butcher block countertop by placing a board along the back wall. We used a 3/4 inch piece of plywood for the sink to rest on with cutouts for the drain and faucet. The cutouts made hooking up the faucet a breeze.
The sink and faucet are officially installed! After applying a bead of silicon around the top edge of the sink, she is ready to be used. We also were able to install our microwave.
We are always conscious of weight when in comes to materials (our Sinkology sink is only 30 lbs, compared to normal apron front sinks that are around 100 lbs.) So for our backsplash, we decided to use these self adhesive tiles that have the look of subway tiles without the weight. It’s exactly the look I was going for!
Sinkology loves to make the sink installation process as easy as possible by offering their All-In-One design kits. The Sinkology All-In-One Kit comes with your choice of Pfister faucet, drain, grid and cleaning kit. This makes it possible for my sink to look gorgeous from day one and to keep it looking that way in the future!!
The detail of the hammered stainless steel is breathtaking! I’m sure my Airstream kitchen will be the envy of the RV parks!
The modern PFister faucet adds the perfect balance to the farmhouse design.
They say the kitchen is the heart of the home and I know that will be the case for Annie the Airstream! Our Sinkology Percy stainless steel sink will definitely be well loved and well used for years to come! Thanks for checking out our Airstream kitchen remodel with Sinkology!

Beautiful end result. It is good that you are doing this by yourself. This is saving your money and keep you busy in free time. I also do stuff like this by myself.

Love the new kitchen guys! Thanks for sharing. How long did it take you guys to remodel the whole thing?
Thanks for checking our post out! We actually still aren’t completely finished with the airstream. We have worked on it, on and off, for about 6 years. We are finally nearing the finish line though and hope to be done sometime in 2021!
