We decided to join Laura Kelly on her annual Popcorn Box Blog Hop! This year we used products from World Market, Oriental Trading, Kunin Group, Expressionery, Ellison/Sizzix, and Udderly Smooth. We had one rule: to use the popcorn box. We could do whatever we want and of course, we wanted a Disney twist!
Also, you have a chance to win a Sizzix Big Shot Machine with tools and Cutting Pads!!
Our popcorn box looks like a tombstone, right? Did you know it’s a tombstone from The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland?
Here are a few of the products we wanted to use.
Using this cement paint was the perfect way to get the perfect tombstone texture.
“Death by Chocolate” popcorn paired perfectly with our deadly theme. To make the chocolate popcorn we used this recipe from Allrecipes. We added the white chocolate chips for more chocolate, of course!! The candy corn and candy eyes were added to make it more festive.
We hand painted to detailing of the tombstone. A simple google search and print to get Leota.
White gauzy ribbon wrapped around the Udderly Smooth lotion to mummify it.
We thought this would be the perfect neighborly gift to give. Thanks, Laura Kelly for the challenge. It was a blast! Now a friend will get a sweet treat!
