My kids love to have fancy holiday meals. Thankfully, their definition of fancy just means we all eat at the table together on real plates, so the other details are left for me to go as easy or complicated as I like. With baseball/softball season in full swing, life has been really hectic so the Target Dollar Spot came to my rescue as I threw this little brunch together.
My table set up is fairly simple, using some of my favorite go-to’s: my simple white plates, my water goblets, and gold silverware.
My centerpiece consisted of the food, cake plates, and some green moss to add a pop of spring color.
These cute pink egg plates from the TDS (Target Dollar Spot) also served as a place card. Using a paintbrush and water, I wrote each name and then sprinkled edible gold dust over top.
One item on the menu were these adorable donuts. I simply used store bought cake donuts, mixed a powdered sugar glaze (1 cup powdered sugar, add milk to desired thickness), dip donuts in the glaze and then add sprinkles! Ta-da! Done.
I also served strawberry lemonade and boiled eggs from our chickens. I love how pretty and unique each egg is! And they’re so yummy!
Another view of the place setting so you can see how cute these bunny ear napkin rings are from the TDS.
We also munched on fresh strawberries (baskets found here) and mini blueberry muffins. I love how pretty baby’s breath is in my milk glass vases I got on my recent trip to Magnolia. Thanks, Chip & Jojo!
My kids loved all the bite-sized foods and I loved that they were happy without me being a huge ball of stress!!
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter and enjoy a special time with those you love!
