Check out our other Cinco De Mayo party ideas:
DecoArt Glass Paint Markers makes painting on glass easier than any other glass paint on the market. I love that it’s in pen form. Super easy to use and no messes. They are available at Michaels and in 10 colors.
The Dollar Store is the best place to get affordable glass plates and glasses.
I wanted to try these out two ways: with a stencil and free handed. I cut a design with my Cricut on vinyl I was ok throwing out since I’m using it for just a stencil. Also remember that when you are doing a stencil with words you need to cut it out with the mirror image because you are sticking the vinyl on the back of the plate. You do not want to paint where it will touch food.
When you open the markers, the tip is white. You need to shake the markers and press the tip down on a piece of paper to get the paint flowing.
The colors look so amazing and vibrant on glass.
You can free hand your design too!
Allow paint to air cure for at least 8 hours.
Once you are done place your painted projects on a baking sheet and place in the oven. Do not preheat the oven. Set the oven to 375 degrees F. Once the oven has heated to 375 then set the timer for 40 minutes. Once the 40 minutes is up, turn off the oven and open the oven door and let cool.
Guess what? After your project is baked, it’s dishwasher safe!
DecoArt Glass Paint Markers make it so easy to make your own custom party ware. You can do this with any party theme. Also, great for a take home gift at a party. I could go on and on!
Oh and here’s the super secret recipe for the delicious food on the picture:
Go to Taco Bell. Order two crunchy tacos and a Strawberry Skittles Freeze. Enjoy!
