Late last year I found out I was chosen to be on the Chick-fil-A Moms Panel. I was SUPER excited because I adore Chick-fil-A!! Not only is the food there amazing and high quality, the company itself is just as awesome with its community involvement and high standards. Needless to say, I’ve enjoyed my partnership and have looked forward to the fun challenges I get to participate in!
You see that?? That’s not just a yummy bowl of Chick-fil-A’s famous chicken tortilla soup, it’s also my next #chickfilamomsDIY challenge! My job (after chowing down all that deliciousness) is to upcycle the soup container. My kids and I brainstormed a bunch of ideas and narrowed it down to two. We decided to do both!

We are Disney fans over here….totally not obvious, right?! I had made a Disney themed gallery wall in my home but I had this vision of some kind of cute mickey ears wall hanging to make it complete. I don’t have tools or skills to make it out of wood so that was out. But the light bulb went off when Meghan and I went to Snap Conference and we saw the Floracraft booth and saw all their amazing things. That’s when I decided my mickey ears would be made of Styrofoam!!

Two years ago we got invited to go to Disney On Ice with a bunch of friends. My daughter was 7 and I knew she would love going. Here was the problem: we didn’t have a lot of money at the time. Not wanting to miss out on a special opportunity to spend time with my girl, we scrapped up just enough to go. While we were there, she saw the snow cones and really really wanted one. I HAD to tell her no. And as stupid as it was, I really wanted to be able to get her that snow cone. When it was over she said, “You know what would be perfect?” I said, “What?” “A Frozen one….You know, Disney on ICE!” I said, “That would be perfect and when they do we will go!”

Not only are you paying an arm and a leg to get there, stay there and eat there, but your kids will probably beg for all the awesome stuff being displayed at every corner. What you need to know about Mickey’s Halloween Party in Disneyland

I’m sure you’ve noticed that we love all things Disney over here at J&H! Add Halloween to that and we’re really excited!! So of course, I just had to get my family tickets to Mickey’s Halloween Party. We’ve gone for the last three years and will keep coming back because we love it!
Mickey’s Halloween Party is a separate event ticket so even if you have a park ticket or annual pass valid for that day, you’ll still need an additional ticket for the Halloween party. Good news is, they only sell a limited number of tickets so the park is typically less busy than usual. And the later in the evening of the party, the less crowds there are! (People get tired and leave. But not us. We stay until the park closes!) You also are allowed entrance up to three hours before party time so you can start enjoying Disneyland early! Annual passholders also get a discount on some party nights.

Quinn’s Toy Story Birthday Party

My littlest turned five this past weekend. Yep, my fifth child officially turned five at 5:55pm on Saturday. Moms always say they can’t believe how fast time goes when it comes to their children aging. That’s because it’s absolutely true!! Time flies and before you know it, your baby isn’t a baby anymore! Enough of me crying about it…. Let’s get on with the party!
Disney’s Carsland Birthday Party
Welcome to Carsland… or as we called it that day, Colesland! I found a picture online of the Carsland landscape and added the text with pictures of Cole throughout the year. I had it blown up at Staples and glued it to a piece of wood for the welcome sign to the party.

Both Lara and I love Disneyland!! It’s one of the things that bonded us as friends from the beginning. That, and the fact that both of our husbands love to poke fun of our love for all things Disney. We’ve actually visited Disneyland a few times together.
