Lately, I’ve been seeing song lyrics used with Halloween. It’s literally the best combination. First off, I love Halloween. Next, I love old songs; especially old 80’s and 90’s songs. So, when I saw this trend I decided to make my own Halloween decorations, shirts and bags.

It has been blazing hot here and I am over it. Once it gets hot for too long I’m ready to move on into hoodies and cooler weather. So, bring on all things fall and pumpkins. Here’s a quick and relaxing craft to tip toe into the season; even if it’s hot as heck outside.
Yay! Summertime is in full swing and between barbecuing and swimming, our family is spending the majority of our time outside! With that, I decided I want my outdoor living space to feel as welcoming and decorated as I like my indoor space to feel. I came up with this DIY Rustic Wooden Lantern design to adorn my outdoor table. It’s super easy and cute enough to bring inside when the weather turns cold again!
In less than an hour and with a little elbow grease, you can have one of these sweet lanterns yourself!
Dang Cricut!! Back at it again with these gorgeous Iron-On Designs!! You know our love for Cricut runs deep. We’ve been able to create so many fun projects with our Explore Air machines. With these adorable designs however, you DON’T EVEN NEED A MACHINE!!! I know, right! Imagine all the cute gifts, pillows, totes, t-shirts, etc, etc, etc you could make!
Our minds were spinning with ideas when we were checking out all of these fun designs. These are just a few of the 50+ designs in both small and large sizes! We bought our house this last April and we have been slowly updating. I have always wanted a yellow door-specially a mustard yellow door.
My old school 80’s maybe 90’s style door was needing some love.
I’ve been feeling an itch lately to update my bedroom. Not a full overhaul but adding a few new pieces to freshen it up. For the most part, I really like my bedroom but keeping it exactly the same for a few years can lead to it being a bit… well, boring. So I’ve compiled a list of a few items that will hopefully give my bedroom some new life and will keep me loving my bedroom for the next few years.
Number 1: A new rug. Here’s a fun new way to add a pop of (temporary) color. Maybe you’re like me and want to try a trendy new color or a bold pattern but don’t want to commit to painting or a really expensive piece of furniture. Here is a couple that I’m looking at:
I mentioned in our DIY Farmhouse Patio table post that I was planning on using it for an upcoming wedding. Well, I’m super excited to share the finished project with you!! St. Patrick’s Day season is here and I wanted something fun and bright on my door. Most St. Patty’s day decor is green but I decided to go the rainbow route.
I could not find a banner and realized I was going to have to make it. So not only is this a tutorial for a St. Patrick’s Day decoration, it’s also a tutorial for your basic banner.
This is the last of my trio of Target Dollar Spot upcycles. I’m sharing a charming heart garland that I made into a vintage love letter themed garland.
I obviously have a love for vintage items. I mean look at those beautiful glass doors I was able to salvage from a 100-year-old San Francisco home! I was excited to vintage-up this darling garland I found at Target.

Here’s the second installment of my Target Dollar Spot upcycling. This time I found these cute packs of red, pink and white doilies. These could absolutely turn into something fun!!
My staircase always feels a bit naked after Christmas. We take down the garland and it all of the sudden looks under-decorated. Target Dollar Spot to the rescue!

This year my family will be out of town on Thanksgiving. Police officers don’t get holidays off so my husband will be working. Knowing that the rest of us decided to celebrate this year at Disneyland. Ryan will be flying down to meet us once he’s off. I didn’t get out of planning a traditional meal, however!! My kids requested an early Thanksgiving this year and here’s how it turned out!
When planning a tablescape for my family, I always have to keep in mind that my kids are KIDS! They are messy and clumsy! So whatever’s on the table needs to be washable or disposable. I love the idea of the brown paper runner that I was able to personalize. I tried my hand at a little fancy writing and the visual of the tally marks representing how blessed we are.
