“Bouquets of freshly sharpened pencils…” Maybe you recognized that line from the movie, “You’ve Got Mail.” I always loved how that one line made going back to school feel lovely! We’ve just completed our first week of the new school year over here and all kids are happily back into the groove of things!! So I felt the need to celebrate our wonderful teachers by making them Felt Teacher Treat Bags. This simple and quick craft is sure to put a smile on your favorite teacher’s face!

I made sure to stuff my felt teacher treat bags with the good stuff… chocolate!! And paired it with a pencil bouquet, of course!

It’s the most wonderful time of year!!! Or maybe it isn’t. Back to school time has most moms feeling some kind of way. We decided to host a “Cheers & Tears” brunch celebrating all of the emotions we feel when our kiddos head back to school.

The main inspiration for this party came from this 1970’s happy face cookie jar that sat on my mom’s kitchen counter my entire childhood, the original emoji! To me it always represented the epitome of happiness, especially when it was full of treats! Keep reading to see how we incorporated this sweet face throughout our party.

Back to School…. I think all of us have mixed feelings about these words. But, like it or not, the first day of school is fast approaching! My girls and I were chatting about how going back to school means getting to see their besties regularly again. They are definitely happy about that. With that in mind, I came up with this cute Back to School bestie gift idea. Anyone remember Slam Books?? I loved those when I was in middle school! So I’m bringing them back! These would also make super fun teacher’s gifts to help teachers get to know the new students in their class. Knowing that my Cricut machine can cut a ton of different materials and has a whole line of adorable products, I knew I’d be able to put together an awesome craft for my girls to put together.

Cricut Design Space was my first stop in creating my Slam Book design. Did you know Design Space was recently updated? I love the Cricut listens to their customers and updates according to their needs and wants. I also love the ease of using DS on my iPhone and connecting wirelessly to my machine.
