Christmas is a really busy time-we all know that! My go-to gift for teachers are gift cards, and honestly, we asked a few and that is the gift they prefer. We decided to make a cute gift card holder for our teachers to enjoy on their own Christmas break. Also, enter to win a Cricut Maker!
We were inspired by the Kraft Board picture on the front and wanted to get our hands on the kraft board itself. The recommended mat to use with kraft board is the light grip mat.
We used the Suit Case Fancy Box image in the Circut Design Space.
We also used this Most Wonderful Time image in the Cricut Design Space.
We added the image to our suit case and also added the words “Winter Vacation” because let’s face it, the most wonderful time of the year for a teacher is winter vacation! Also, we used the Black 0.8 Tip Glitter pen.
When you are ready to cut, make sure you set the dial on your Circut to custom. This menu will pop up so that you can pick the right material. Kraft board isn’t here so you must click “View All”.
Select the Kraft Board option and then click “Done”.
Your Cricut will prompt you to use your score tool in slot “A”.
Once its is done scoring your will be prompted to put the 0.8 black glitter pen in slot “A”.
This will be your final product after your Cricut is done. Now it’s your turn to finish it off.
Fold in on all the scored lines glue the sides to complete the box.
We added some trees and cotton balls to create a snowy scene on the inside of the box.
Add a simple ribbon or sting to the top and you are ready to go. Your child’s teacher will be ready to go-to winter break!
