If you read our post about our Garden Party Wedding, you read about how we found used patio furniture on Craigslist and pretty-ed it up for the reception. We decided to give you a little peek into how we did that. You may not have a wedding reception coming up, but summer barbecues are around the corner and your outdoor furniture might need some help!
Of course, you’ll need to see the before pictures to fully appreciate the afters.
Exhibit A: you can see this set has good bones… and bad everything else! The seat and back wicker is pretty shredded, the original paint is faded and there is rust in different areas.
Exhibit B: this set needed some TLC. And some seats! Otherwise, it had cute detailing and was for the most part intact.
We decided to go with Rustoleum’s Ultra Cover in Heirloom White.
My husband and I traded off spray painting the furniture pieces using our Home Right spray tent. This tent was so handy!! All the overspray was contained!
We were able to use planks of reclaimed wood to replace the seats and backs for each of the chairs as well as the bar top.
We were so pleased with the final outcome!
Each set was given new life and will look great during a summertime get together!
I should also mention that we used Rustoleum Ultra Cover clear coat for a protective layer.
We want to make sure these cute pieces stay looking good!
Now to get planning that BBQ!
Great Work!!! Best for getting a beautiful furniture and all steps are also define how we makes a good furniture for outdoor. Thanks for sharing.
