DIY Rustic Wooden Lantern

Yay! Summertime is in full swing and between barbecuing and swimming, our family is spending the majority of our time outside! With that, I decided I want my outdoor living space to feel as welcoming and decorated as I like my indoor space to feel. I came up with this DIY Rustic Wooden Lantern design to adorn my outdoor table. It’s super easy and cute enough to bring inside when the weather turns cold again!

In less than an hour and with a little elbow grease, you can have one of these sweet lanterns yourself!

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but Stranger Things 3 has dropped, and it is everywhere! My family and I are huge fans of the show so we are so excited about the fun new things out there! This season it takes place in an ice cream shop in the StarCourt Mall called Scoops Ahoy. Baskin Robbins took this and ran! They have their own Stranger Things ice creams flavors, cakes and sundaes. I talked about it my Stranger Things Ice Cream Sandwich Bar post. Then, I spotted a whole new line of Baskin Robbins ice cream at Target. I wondered what else I could add to have fun with all this ice cream so I made Stranger Things ice cream drip protectors. Perfect to add to any party!

Vintage Airstream Renovation: Annie Update #3

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve posted an Annie update but even though the work has been slow-going, the work has been going! Annie is my vintage Airstream renovation project. Here is what we’ve been able to accomplish during the last few years (in between keeping up with 5 kiddos, a full-time job, being active in our church community and life in general…) We’re actually hoping to have Annie road ready by winter!! I can hardly wait!

Toy Story 4 Forky Treats

Have you had the chance to see Toy Story 4 yet? If you haven’t I highly recommend you do. It’s a great and also, gut wrenching end to the series. If it’s really the end. There’s a new character in the movie that we are now obsessed with named Forky. He’s made out of trash by Bonnie. He has lopsided eyes that fall down and crazy pipe cleaner arms, so the imperfectness of this treat works well for him.

Stranger Things Ice Cream Sandwich Bar

Stranger Things season 3 will be out this July 4th and I’m super excited to binge watch it. Scoops Ahoy is the name of the ice cream shop at the Starcourt Mall in Hawkins. I decided it would be fun to have a Stranger Things ice cream sandwich bar to celebrate the new season. Baskin Robbins inspired this set up with their Stranger Things ice cream and merchandise. I’m always down for an excuse to invite friends over and have a party!

I’ve been feeling major Disneyland withdrawals lately! I love everything about it… the smell of popcorn, the music being piped through the park and even collecting the free souvenir buttons to commemorate each trip. As you can see, I’ve collected quite a few! Each one reminds me of a birthday, anniversary, new land opening, food festival… the list goes on and on! I’ve come up with a fun, easy way to display these special “memories” so I can enjoy them more often.

My plan is to turn these adorable buttons into magnets!

Floral-themed Paint Night In with Social Artworking

Mother’s Day is right around the corner and every year I want to gather some of my favorite ladies to celebrate them and our friendship! However, the closer you get to actual Mother’s Day, the busier schedules seem to get. So I planned ahead this year and invited my friends over for a floral-themed paint night with Social Artworking!! All of us “budding” artists had a wonderful time together!

With a floral theme, Social Artworking’s Wheelbarrow Planter design was the perfect art to create!
