I’m super pumped for Halloween this year. I’m ready to decorate but I don’t think it’s socially acceptable to do it this early. This week Meghan shared her Embroidery Hoop Fall Harvest Wreath. I also have my own version of a hoop wreath this week. I love a good pun, add some black and white and I’m a happy girl!
I have a confession to make: I am a craft supply hoarder. I love to buy supplies with the intentions of making the cutest things and most of the time, I don’t. Those crafty items sit in my craft room cupboards (if they’re lucky. If not, they’ll be stuffed in the craft store bag somewhere!) and wait until I remember I wanted to make them! I’ve had all of the supplies to make this adorable Embroidery Hoop Fall Harvest Wreath for over a year and today I finally made it!! Now I’m wondering why it took me so long because I LOVE it!
To be honest, it’s even better than I had envisioned! Don’t you love when that happens?!
It has been blazing hot here and I am over it. Once it gets hot for too long I’m ready to move on into hoodies and cooler weather. So, bring on all things fall and pumpkins. Here’s a quick and relaxing craft to tip toe into the season; even if it’s hot as heck outside.
“Bouquets of freshly sharpened pencils…” Maybe you recognized that line from the movie, “You’ve Got Mail.” I always loved how that one line made going back to school feel lovely! We’ve just completed our first week of the new school year over here and all kids are happily back into the groove of things!! So I felt the need to celebrate our wonderful teachers by making them Felt Teacher Treat Bags. This simple and quick craft is sure to put a smile on your favorite teacher’s face!
I made sure to stuff my felt teacher treat bags with the good stuff… chocolate!! And paired it with a pencil bouquet, of course!
My daughter, Taylor, loves Target. I can’t emphasize enough how much she loves Target. She asks to go there connastntly. For Christmas this year, she asked for a portal from her room straight to Target so she didn’t have to drive there. Me too, girl! So, when I saw a few Target birthday parties circulating around Pinterest; I knew I had to do one for my Target loving girl.
My husband was adamant that we have uniforms and name tags for the party. Let me also mention that it was 105 degrees that day and we sweat our guts out. Taylor quickly stripped down to her swim suits after we took a few pictures. Actually, I had to beg her to keep that outfit on for a few pictures.
You know how much we love the Target Dollar Spot!! Last year, they had the cutest line of lemonade party supplies! So I bought them up and saved them for my daughter, Maggie’s, Lemonade Bar Birthday Party. I can’t wait to show you all the fun details!
I know I wanted a fun, colorful backdrop and used painted sheets of pressboard to create that. Maggie had the best time helping with the green graffiti-type spray paint wall!
When I saw this “happy” paper I HAD to get my hands on it. Cricut does a lot of amazing collaborations, like with our buddy Natalie Malan. This collaboration was with Tara from Rad & Happy. She designed this double sided Deluxe Paper with her amazing designs. I thought her paper pack would make the perfect party decor! These patterns are so fun to mix & match. Imagine all the possible combinations.

It’s back to school season and I can’t even believe it’s that time already. The summer has flown by and I’m not ready. Some of you might be ready but I’m currently in a phase of life where I would rather have the care free days instead on doing the grind of that hectic schedule. Whether we like it or not it’s coming! Making things special for the new year I think is a great way to start and It might help your kids feel ready to start up again. Just make a sweet treat or throw a huge bash! I’m loving this whole charcuterie board trend that’s happening. If you are saying charcut-a-what, don’t worry I’m new to this too! A charcuterie board is usually made with meats and cheeses and it is displayed beautifully thrown together on a board. It’s an informal way to eat a meal or a snack. Guests can grab what they want. I love it for many reasons: easy prep, minimal dishes and it looks cool. Since the brand new Lion King starts today I thought a Lion King inspired charcuterie board would be fun. You can throw this together for a party or for your family on a movie night. You can make one for any theme or movie.
