Has anyone been noticing the fabulous earrings that Joanna Gaines has been rocking on this season on Fixer Upper? We knew we had to have a pair. I mean, don’t you want to model every single thing that women does…or is that just us? So we bring you a tutorial on how to make your own faux leather leaf earrings.
(If you like these earrings, you might like this tutorial as well!!)
Using our Cricut, we knew this would be a quick and easy DIY.
Oh and check out our other Fixer Upper post copying Joanna’s gorgeous Magnolia Wreath.
Here’s what you need:
Of course this would be helpful using a Cricut but if you don’t own one you can make a template and cut them out by hand. The Cricut is just a sure way to have a precise and even cut.
Cricut has this faux pebbled leather that we thought would be perfect for the earrings. Grab the cut here in the Cricut Design Space.
Fold the leather piece in half at the top of the rounded side.
Use your Cricut weeder tool to make a hole through both sides of the faux leather near the fold.
You will need some earring findings and jewelry wire to finish off the earrings.
Cut about 2 inches of wire for each earring.
Poke it through the hole and twist to secure.
Add your earring finding and twist to secure.
You are done and now have your own piece of Joanna.
They are so light and airy, you can easily wear them daily!
