I’ve always been a fan of combo parties especially because my three girls all have summer birthdays and are so close in age. I think it’s only been in the last year that I’ve felt I can no longer get away with it-my teenager won’t let me!! This party is obviously from a few years ago but I recently found my pictures from it. (Gotta love when your computer crashes!)
Hope you enjoy my girls’ Ice Cream Parlor themed birthday party!

I made this cute little fabric ice cream cones with a tutorial I found from Iced Designs. I found the cutest waffle cardstock at Michaels. I also purchased 2.5 inch styrofoam balls and ribbon from Michaels. The fabric was from JoAnn Fabrics.

These adorable Candy Scoops
are from Amazon!! I’ve actually have used them quite a bit after the party and have lent them out to friends. I found the ice cream flavored candies at the dollar store and haven’t seen them since. Here
is a another cute option… because it HAS to be cute, right?

I made my parlor awning from left over scrap fabric I had on hand and had my hubby construct a frame and paint it white. If you don’t have time or just simply aren’t interested in a DIY, there is a a pretty affordable and just as cute alternative Here
. I painted the argyle backdrop on white Photo Backdrop Paper
.

I collected these vintage ice cream bowls from various thrift stores in my area. We served root beer floats and I loved what these cute straws and straw holder added to the table!! The fun labels are a free printable I found at Eat Drink Chic.

We are fans of Coldstone Ice Cream over here and I was SO excited to find my own Ice Cream Stone to mix up our ice cream creations!! We had animal crackers, spring Oreos, brownie bites, yogurt covered pretzels, sprinkles, mini marshmallows… I mean anything you could think of!! I actually tried really hard to keep the food within our blue and pink color scheme and aside from some chocolate. Not bad, Right?

Here are my birthday girls and family getting ready to dig in!

My handsome husband fixing some ice cream! I actually bought some cute Pink Aprons from us to wear, which he politely declined to do. He does ALMOST anything I ask him to do!!

We all scream for ice cream!!!

I made ice cream flavored cupcakes. Malt-ball crunch, Neapolitan, chocolate chip cookie dough. My mom has the cutest Pink Cake Plates that I borrowed to display some of the cupcakes.

Funny enough but my inspiration for the whole party came while walking through the grocery store and seeing these cute Better Crocker Ice Cream Cake Candles!! May your birthday wishes come true, sweethearts!
Baby Shower
This same summer, I threw a friend of mine a baby shower for her fifth child. A girl after four boys!! I was excited to use the ice cream parlor theme again!
This time around, my husband built a frame out of PVC for my awning. This made it easier to store and assemble.

I made strawberry vanilla cupcakes for this shower.

For the most part, the shower was the same as the birthday except for a few decoration changes. This toy stroller held the party favors.
My mom got me this Willow Tree statue when I was pregnant with my last baby.
I love to have it on display when I do baby showers.
It captures such a sweet moment with mom and baby.
