I knew I wanted to have a cute breakfast but thought it would fun to start with some sort of game. A treasure hunt sounded perfect!
I outlined a path through my house and grabbed some rainbow colored yarn to mark it. I also printed out simple shamrocks with instructions that would line the course.
The activities along the way were silly and easy. The first paper had them counting to 50.
By far the most fun part of the course was making my kids crawl under this yarn to get up the stairs to their “treasure”.
I found adorable baskets in the Target Dollar Spot in the colors of the rainbow and filled them with color coordinated treats.
All of my goodies were purchased at the dollar store. My kids were so excited for the mini box of Cheez-It’s! Mostly because they didn’t have to share. 🙂
So excited to grab each of their treats!
Happy kiddos!
Breakfast was up next. Everyone has heard of silver dollar pancakes but I thought a fun St Patty’s Day twist would be to make Pot of Gold pancakes! I made our usual mini pancakes but then sprayed them with edible gold spray paint!
I made sure to display them in (on top) of my treasure pot.
Using the fruit to create a rainbow platter for DIY parfaits. My kids LOVE fruit so I knew this would be a hit!
Look at those rainbow layers of yumminess!!
So all in all, pretty easy to put together!
Celebrating St Patrick’s Day this year, I feel like I’m the luckiest mom in the world!
