Patch Up Those Knees and Elbows
I started to notice that my daughter was getting holes in her leggings. I mean, what do you expect from a three year old, am I right? I figured that some Disney iron-on knee patches would do the trick, and why not add some cute elbow patches too?
Grab the supplies:
The girl lives in leggings. When they get holes I usually would just toss them out and run to Target to buy more.
I made her a Baymax Valentine’s shirt and thought some matching leggings would be the perfect outfit. Baymax’s face made the perfect patch for her hole-y leggings.
Grab the Mickey version here. The small mickey is a toddler size elbow and knee patch. The medium is a child’s size and the large is adult size. Just hide the ones you don’t want just by clicking the eye.
Mickey mouse also made a perfect iron-on knee patch in the black iron-on vinyl.
Then I thought, wouldn’t it be amazing to make a matching mommy and me shirt?
Once you cut your iron-on, try the shirt on and mark a dot with a sharpie where the elbow sits.
Adding another layer of iron-on to your patches takes it up a notch.
If you notice, my patches are right side up and my daughter’s patches are up-side-down. I wanted hers to have that fun peek-a-boo element.
Mickey mouse themed patches would be perfect for a trip to Disneyland.
I love the idea of saving a few bucks and also elevating some basic leggings with iron-on patches.
