Welcome to Carsland… or as we called it that day, Colesland! I found a picture online of the Carsland landscape and added the text with pictures of Cole throughout the year. I had it blown up at Staples and glued it to a piece of wood for the welcome sign to the party.
Here is Radiator Springs in our very own drive way! Complete with Radiator Springs Curios, Luigi’s Casa Della Tires, City Hall, Ramon’s Body Art and Flo’s V8 Cafe.
We also had a blinking traffic light for the full effect!
What’s Radiator Springs without Tow Mater and the Cozy Cone Motel!!
And we can’t forget Sarge’s Surplus Hut!
Cones to make sure there weren’t any real cars driving through Carsland!
A dollar store find to welcome guests!
All “drivers” had to get their driver’s licenses. I found cute cheap Cars lanyards online and made this license template. With a square hole punch, I made the picture cut out. My mom was the “DMV” and took each child’s picture with my Polaroid camera. These were a huge hit! Everyone felt super official.
Everyone got (temporary) tattooed at Ramon’s Body Art.
We played Mater Fishing. Using a dollar store fishing game, we fished for broken cars, rather than fish, to see who could pick up all the “lemons” the fastest!
At Luigi’s Casa Della Tires, we had a “tire” eating contest!
My kids know how to eat a doughnut- and eat it fast!
We had our collection of Cars toys for all to play with in Radiator Springs. Most had fun crashing the cars into one another. We also passed out “pop-cones” or orange paper cups filled with popcorn. I guess I didn’t get a picture of them.
I found adorable Cars themed marshmallows that I used for cupcake toppers as well as the cone and Lightning McQueen candles I found on Amazon.
The dollar store also had these Cars lunch sacks I used for goody bags. Thank goodness for Sally bags to hand out to all the female drivers attending the party!
The contents of the goody bags bought from Oriental Trading. If you plan ahead and know the theme of your parties in advance, wait until they offer free shipping to buy from there.
Here we are getting ready for the family party that night. The checkered banner, also from Oriental Trading.
Simple black table clothes with painter’s tape road lines and Cars confetti.
We had luckily visited Disneyland the week before Cole’s party and asked the bread bakery if they made the Tow Mater sourdough bread still. They hadn’t planned on it but the head baker there personally said he’d make a special one for us! And it was delicious!
Another Disneyland find, this fun sipper cup was from one of the snack cones.
Cooking up a 60’s diner style menu! My husband may or may not have started a small grease fire during this evening.
Heading out to hungry family members. Hamburgers and fries! We also made homemade chocolate shakes.
Carsland at night!
We even lit the welcome sign.
Happy birthday to you, sweet Cole!

Love the stations at this party & the games look spot on for the kids! Love the entire thing! Wondering how you did the backdrop on the garage?! So fabulous!
Thanks for checking out our party!! The Radiator Springs scene is actually a party store backdrop. I found mine on eBay once I realized they had been discontinued. Definitely a lucky find!
