Disney’s Carsland Birthday Party

Welcome to Carsland… or as we called it that day, Colesland! I found a picture online of the Carsland landscape and added the text with pictures of Cole throughout the year. I had it blown up at Staples and glued it to a piece of wood for the welcome sign to the party.

Disneyland Freebies & Tips

Both Lara and I love Disneyland!! It’s one of the things that bonded us as friends from the beginning. That, and the fact that both of our husbands love to poke fun of our love for all things Disney. We’ve actually visited Disneyland a few times together.

My girls all have summer birthdays. I had promised them a party but the summer kept us so busy that a party never happened. After feeling really guilty, I came up with a great idea! I’d throw an unbirthday party so it wouldn’t feel as weird being so late. I had all of their friends come with character inspired fashions (not a literal costume, just clothes that are reminiscent of a particular character),

DIY Wedding Decor

A good friend of mine was asked to decorate a wedding reception. She asked me to help out and this is what we came up with! I think it turned out great!!

Planning for around 200, we used five rows of four long tables. Each table had a silver runner, floral centerpiece, tea lights and faux diamond confetti. The two end walls had a curtain of lights behind gossamer curtains.

Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower

And a new baby most certainly finds a way to steal your heart! This baby shower was for a young lady who I’ve known since she was a girl. She was having her first baby and the nursery was going to be vintage Winnie the Pooh. I thought that would make a great baby shower theme!

Football Tailgate Baby Shower

Welcome to a Football Tailgate Baby Shower!

The food table!! Complete with football field runner made out of a brown paper roll, hand-painted numbers and lines and topped off with X and O confetti. The X and O’s are the small wooden ones found at Michaels. They, as well as the cheer megaphones were spray painted to match the decor.

Happy New Year

It’s now 2015 and our resolution is to do something new…something we haven’t before-Start a Blog! As moms, we sometimes put ourselves on the back burner but not this year. This year we’ll post about doing things we love to do. So come along with us as we find our joy one adventure at a time.
