Our St. Patty’s Party

As long as I have known Lara, she has always made a fun St. Patrick’s Day themed dinner for her family each year.  I usually just put up decorations to celebrate and maybe buy a bag of See’s candies gold coins.  This year we decided to team up: her food and my decorations.
Here is our table all put together!  All ready for our kids to enjoy.

Ray’s Race

The 1st Annual Ray Goodfellow Memorial Pinewood Derby Race
 
Let me give a little background on this next party…
The teenager in this picture is my father-in-law, Ray.  He passed away when my husband, Ryan, was 18.  Ryan and I started dating a few years later, so I never met Ray.  It didn’t take me long, however to realize how special Ray was to Ryan, how much he was loved and missed by him.  Wonderful moments we have shared through the years (our wedding day, Ryan’s graduation from the police academy, the birth of our babies) were always a little bittersweet knowing Ray wasn’t here to enjoy it with us.

DIY Height Chart

Okay I might have tried to lure you here with my cute baby! haha
No but really, the other day I was freaking out because I’m going to have a teenager this year. Wait a second, how did this happen? I always wanted a height chart to keep those memories of their growth and now I’m here with an almost teenager! Eeek! I thought, whoa, I gotta get one before the kid starts shooting up-because that hasn’t happened yet.

Dollar Store Wreath Challenge: Valentine’s Day Edition

 

I needed a Valentine’s Wreath.  Yes, needed. So I decided to challenge myself and try to make a Dollar Store wreath. We’ve seen it done before, I could do it-right? Well turns out my Dollar Store has a whole lot of nothing!! I did manage to grab a few things. I also hit up the Target Dollar Spot for a few more things.  The mission: to make it cheap!

Meet Annie the Airstream!

Proud owners of an Airstream!!  A couple years ago, I started having this obsession with Airstreams.  I saw them everywhere and constantly looked up ones for sale on Craigslist.  I image-searched on Google for ways others had fixed theirs up.  I finally talked my husband into seriously looking.  We looked at a few before we found ours!
