It’s candy corn season! I know that candy corn is a very polarizing candy. You either love it or hate it. I personally love it and it makes me like it’s fall when I eat it; even if it’s one hundred degrees outside. So candy corn lovers, make these Rice Krispie treats and settle into fall!
Honestly this all came from a trip to Target. What doesn’t come from Target these days? I saw the Jet-Puffed candy corn marshmallows and the mini candy corn and decided they need to be paired with some Rice Krispies; another weakness of mine.
I made the Rice Krispies as usual from the back of the box to start.
Before you press it into a pan you add those candy corn marshmallows and stir. I didn’t want them melted I wanted good chunks throughout. I used about half to three quarters of the bag.
I use a spoon with butter on the back to press the Rice Krispies into the pan without it sticking. Sprinkle and then press down the mini candy corns on the top.
These babies are delish! This would be a fun treat to share with friends and neighbors.
We love to “Boo” during the Halloween season. If you aren’t aware of what Boo-ing is, it’s a fun way to surprise your friends and neighbors. You put together two presents or treats with a “You’ve been Boo’d” sign with each. You pick two friends and very sneakily leave the treat and ring the doorbell. Make sure you get away unseen. They get to enjoy the treat and let everyone know they have been Boo’d by hanging up their sign. My kids absolutely love the get away and the idea of leaving fun things for our friends. Now, those friends are supposed to do the same for two other people. The point is for the fun to spread!
I snagged this set from the Target’s Bullseye’s Playground for $1. I also snagged a ton of fun things for kids to put in the bags.
Candy Corn Rice Krispies are a perfect to Boo your friends and neighbors if they are team candy corn!
