If you’ve followed us for any length of time, you know we are MAJOR Disney geeks over here!! And we’ve been counting down until the new Beauty and the Beast movie release. To celebrate, we put together a BATB premiere party! We invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair. As WE proudly present…. our party!
Of course, one of our decor centerpieces was our enchanted rose, lights included! We found our rose and glass dome at Michaels. The Ashland Real Touch collection has incredible life-like flowers!! So pretty! They didn’t have a red rose, however, so I painted my rose red. (A little Alice in Wonderland reference for you other Disney geeks out there!)
We printed out three versions of Beauty and the Beast stained glass on cardstock and hung them in the windows. I like how the light still shined through giving a little bit of a stained glass feel.
As our guests arrived, we had this stunning rose backdrop ready for selfies! We added a banner made of old book pages with not only a welcome message but a nod to our party theme.
A closer look at the banner and flower gorgeousness. I may or may not still have these displayed in my front room. 😉
The perfect touch over my fireplace mantle had to be a replica portrait of the Beast, pre-curse. We simply printed it out and Mod Podge-d it onto foam board and used command strips to hang it up. I love how realistic it turned out!!
A few other decor pieces include vintage books, a clock I painted to look like Cogsworth and a candelabra reminiscent of Lumiere, all thrift store finds! I also found this beautiful book, Belle’s Library.
I found this beautiful book, Belle’s Library for my daughter. It was a great item to display.

The treat table was set up to look as if Belle and the Beast were going to be joining us for a romantic evening!
The place settings were for decoration only but I love how the napkins almost look like they’re twirling just like they did in the movie!
Our first treat: lemon cake roses with a raspberry-rose filling. Before adding the cake batter to my cute rose cake mold, I added a bit of edible red spray at the bottom to give my roses a red touch.
These rose apple tarts were definitely one of my favorites of the evening! Pretty easy to make and super yummy!
Here are chocolate cupcakes with strawberry buttercream frosting.
And of course… we had the Grey Stuff!! It was delicious! Make a package of Cookies and Cream Jello using 1 1/2 cups milk instead and fold in a cup of whipped cream (or Cool Whip if that’s easier). Let chill in the refrigerator for an hour and pipe onto chocolate wafer cookies. Seriously, yum!
These white chocolate mouse candles were absolute show-stoppers!! No one could believe they weren’t real candles! We even put birthday cake candle down the center so you could light them.
I mean… even the drips look real!
I even made a special brew of tea for the party! I took raspberry tea and added a rose simple syrup to give it a little extra flavor.
I used more vintage books and antique teapots to decorate the table. All thrift store finds.
We even hung chandeliers to make our table feel more regal.
It wouldn’t be a Beauty and the Beast party without a nod to our favorite villain, Gaston!
We had Gaston’s Tavern set up near our treat table. I painted a sheet of MDF to look like faux paneling. We found fake antlers at Hobby Lobby and Micheals and affixed them to trophy boards. We thought it would be fun to use those antlers to display another treat, donuts!
We created a sour caramel apple brew with Toriani’s Green Apple syrup and cream soda. It tasted just like those caramel apple suckers. So good!!!
Gaston’s Five Dozen deviled eggs.
Marie’s baguettes with rose butter pats.
These little cuties were easy enough to make with our rose chocolate mold.
Oh what a guy, that Gaston!
We’re just as sad that the party had to come to an end! But at least we had these beautiful favors to pass out!
These cute cake dome favors were found at Michaels and we filled them with Brach’s gummy roses.
I mean, I can’t get over these cookies made by Katie at Ainslie Lane Cookie Studio!! The detail is amazing! If you’re going to get a rose, let it be from the Beast and not one of those Bachelors we keep hearing about these days!
Even our littlest party goer had a fun time cheesing it up in front of our photo backdrop!
It was so much fun putting this party together! We can’t wait to see the new movie but still have a special place in our heart for the old one that we grew up singing along to. Hope you all had fun being our guest!
